Great! My dealer is great as well, just nothing yet....The one Ford rep, Ashley, from svtperformance.com said those that ordered on the first few days are still going to be waiting a little while to get a VIN.
I have since replied to her PM to get an understanding of why that is the case as that makes no sense to me.

Dealer Update
My dealer contacted me this morning. I live in (PA) he stated my vehicle was scheduled for build the first week of August but that date has been pushed back by Ford. My vehicle is now scheduled for build the third week of August. Monday the 18th. I also asked if vehicles for stock will show up first and he said NO! your vehicle will be the first Mustang this dealership receives.
:doh:Take this with a grain of salt. We shall see.

I was under the impression that FIFO applied to the ordering process of this car. I may have been misinformed.

I'm currently texting my dealer back and forth as if we were best friends and she can't believe all the crap you guys are taking. I guess I lucked out. She also said to send all business her way. They will take care of all the paper work and send the car to your own local dealer for pick up. Mullinax Ford New Symrna Beach, FL.

I was under that same assumption but doesn't seem to be the case. Maybe priority # on the actual orders has some impacts on the VIN being assigned?
I am just guessing as I have no clue

Well vehicles are scheduled according a lot of factors including production capabilities and constraints. This is one of the reasons you'll almost never see 5 convertibles be produced all in a row. The time to produce a convertible is longer and would slow down the line in addition to the line having limited supplies on hand. They typically alternate body types (convertible vs. coupes) and trim/option types (loaded vs. basic). Obviously, the convertibles aren't being built during Job 1, but hopefully that explains why some vehicles, even though they ordered on day 1, aren't receiving VIN's just yet. Heck I haven't even received my VIN yet and I ordered when the order banks opened.
