Just installed the Viking crusader AM rear shocks on my 2018 and now I’m getting much much more noise coming from the rear of the car. I know they say to expect it because of the bushings used but I just want to make sure everything is ok.

I have the same shocks on my 18, no noise. I would check all nuts and bolts and make sure they are all tight. Set the Compression at 4 & Rebound at 7 for the street. C-8 & R-11 at the strip.

I’ve rechecked everything again. Everything is torqued to spec and installed right. I’ve messed around with the compression and rebound. The noise is seriously bad. Over the slightest bumps it makes many loud thuds and popping noises. If it’s going to stay like this then I’m just going to take them off.

Are you using the OEM mounts?
Mine were completely silent until I added the BMR mounts. The noise was just too stupid for a daily car.

The shocks I ordered came with mounts on them already

I know! Lol I ordered them from lethal performance and the image didn’t have that mount of them. No idea why it came on. A YouTube installed them on his 18 and they were the exact same way.

If you can ditch that mount and use the stocker, that might help. Hard to say for sure.

So I talked to Viking today and they said the mounts that came on my shocks are the t bar mounts and they started using those on the newer models because they are stronger than the other mounts. They did say however, that a downfall of using them are that they create much more noise than other mounts. They said people were breaking the stock mounts so they switched to these. I’m just going to continue using them and see what happens. I don’t daily drive the car, just some drag racing here and there. Not too fun daily driving 900whp lol

That’s precisely why I added the BMR mounts. The damper settings required for a manual are BRUTAL. Likelihood of punching a hole in the stock mounts is pretty high IMO.
On the road, with softer damping, I think it’s highly unlikely that the stock mount would fail.
YMMV of course.
