Did you have to remove the bumper or did you just take out the stock air of attatch it then insert it and bolt it back in?

Just by looking at this, 99% sure that you will have to remove the front bumper.

Yes I had to remove the bumper

I'll add that with the big mouth cruising intake temps are 5-7 degrees above ambient which I never got that with the jlt intake

I guess I still don't understand what the benefit of this is.

In another thread we have had a discussion of CAI temps and those that had the vent holes dremmeled out observed same intake temps as those that haven't. There was no benefit

How about one for the passenger side even if it goes nowhere for a balanced look? (I have my bumper off and will have to go down and check what's there). I can't speak for others, but when it comes to things like that my ocd kicks in screaming for balance on both sides. ;)

Bumper removal... Ouch.

It's really not a big deal. The first time it seems a lot more difficult and intimidating than it really is. You'll spend more time just taking out the damn screws/bolts on the bottom lip than actually removing it.
