Dealer said can’t get new bolts without buy new valve cover. We drilled out the deleted bolts and added the new ones. The factory bolts seem to bottom out and still leak. Went to hardware store and got generic bolts and it quit leaking

NICE. Thanks for the heads-up.

My valve covers are not leaking, but if they do, I'll try to remember this one.

Is this TSB covered under 3/36 bumper to bumper or 5/60 power train warranty? I am still under the powertrain only.

My dealer installed the additional bolts and replaced the gaskets at least twice on my car, and I just found that the plug seals on the driver's side (two closest to the firewall) are leaking. Of course, I'm no longer in the warranty period.

Does anyone have a shop manual for removal of the valve cover and installation of new plug seals?

I just had my 2015 replaced with the Ford GT500 aluminum covers. The kit came with new bolts gaskets and new oil cap. Was around $300.
I did try to tighten the blots first, it worked for few days but then started to leak even worse.
My installer said the original plastic covers were warped.

Did you do the work, or did you have it done?
