I work in a 5 star hotel in Honolulu, and pretty much ever single 4 and 5 star hotel here valet parks ONLY. No hotel allows self parking. Some of the bigger resorts let you self park, but a lot of the hotels here are slowly transitioning to valet parking only, run by an outside contracted company (most hotels everywhere are run by outside valet contracted companies, as it takes the liability off of the hotel should something happen). Honestly i really wouldn't care if my car was valet-d or not. Sometimes i hate finding parking myself in Waikiki, so i just go to a nearby hotel that has valet parking and park there, and go elsewhere in waikiki and do my business. And if something happens to my car, i know who to talk to and make them pay. Thats what insurance is for.

I don't like to valet regardless of what I'm driving, but now with the new stang - oh hell no, not going to valet. But I might change my mind in 50,000 miles.

That's my under standing. You can limit speed, rpm and radio volume. Seeing how I don't have my car yet thanks to Ford's swift shipping methods, can anyone comments on the "My Key" functionality?

didn't a valet just get busted a few days ago in a '15 C7 vette by the factory dash cam doing 50mph in a parking garage and damaging the front valance?

I would never let a valet drive any of my vehicles.
I didn't see anything about damage, but the valet and the company are fortunate to come across such a laid back guy. I've witnessed valets get the smack down after abusing a car.

No way. Never let anyone valet my old V6 either. I don't let just anyone drive my car.

Here's an idea. If you absolutely have to have it valet parked, what's to stop you from jumping in the passenger seat and going along to keep an eye on junior?
