I called my dealer which I scheduled my test drive with and he confirmed that the scheduled dates by Ford Marketing would be set back but he told me he would call me as soon as he receives a Mustang so I can test drive it. Let's hope it's not just typical dealer bla bla bla :headbonk:

My salesman said they drop em off in the middle of the night sometimes at my dealership.
Yeah, I think that's SOP for most inventory, but this car is "SPECIAL". I wouldn't doubt that even for the Mustang that will eventually be the case but I also wouldn't be surprised if the first truck load of Mustangs that show up at some dealerships have a bit of fanfare. :clap2:

Is the end of the year usually a good time to buy a Mustang? I've never bought an American car before (Just Japanese and German in our family) and we tend to buy cars toward the end of the year when dealers wanna move stock to meet targets.

Last day of any month is best followed by first day of any month. Often they need a extra sale or two to meet quota`s or to earn bonus`s. Some Dealerships have "jump start" incentives at beginning of month to energize the sales force momentum.

I can see staying all night at the Vet Hospital to be with your ailing Dog but.....yeah, stalking the Truck from the Rail Yard to the Dealership, thats weird! I`m anxious too but still, its just a Car, not your "first born".

At the very least I will do my best to get there as soon as the car is delivered. Hoping that delivery date falls on one of my days off!

I've got 3 days of vacation saved up just for the delivery of my new beauty!
My boss knows I will need time off when this thing is scheduled to arrive, my plan is to be at the dealer when the truck pulls up.
