When did you order? Is yours dealer stock (priority 20) or a retail order? Just trying to gauge what this all may mean. Worse than kids at Christmas, every one of us!

My order was put in July 21st. Not sure on either of the other question. They are part of autonation which is supposed to be the largest Mustang dealer in the country from what I read (which could be a lie).

My dealer called me yesterday and said the next time any orders will be pulled is September 11. This has been reported by others on forum as well. He said he hopes they will pull my order (mine is retail, not stock) and will do what he can to help ensure they do pull it. I placed my order on JUNE 10th.

How were you able to view your order progress so quickly?

The salesman who I placed my order with told me that I would need to call back in 3-4 weeks before he could give me the info to check my order progress. Is he BSing me? Or are there other factors that can affect how quickly you can view your order?

If he actually placed the order, he can give you the order number, his dealership number, and the order priority now. If he can't, the order hasn't been placed.

Ford hasn't stopped taking orders. They have stopped scheduling them with September 11 the last reported date that they will start pulling placed orders out of the unscheduled order bank again (which is where your order will go until it is scheduled). There are already over 11,000 orders scheduled - mostly dealer stock.

Because my salesman gave me my order number the day he put in the order and he also gave me the DealerID. My salesman is a manager there...

I was able to get that same screen the day after I placed my order on 7/14. Still looks the same. 11,000 orders, huh? Sounds like a lot. But if they can make 500 a day, it's a month's production, and supposedly starting Monday. That seems encouraging for those of us with dealer stock priorities, anyway. Still hoping for late September, but man, it's hard to know!

Dealer stock or customer order and when did you order?

If you ordered early for dealer stock or ordered in May or June I'd say you would have a slim chance. If not, don't bank on it.

I was told mine was ordered Retail but the salesman didn't have the priority number for me.

I was told by my salesman that my order is in Job #2. Can anyone tell me what that actually means in regards to timeframe for a guy that is coming back to Ford after 20 years?

Searching the forum for that info was pretty fruitless.
