This is key. Running these cars in a hot, high altitude environment with a group where some are accomplished drivers and others not so much is gonna deliver a lot of variation. An 11.3 in that environment could very well be sub 11 in a better environment.

What hurt the 13-14s was gearing and the TR6060 was a dog to shift fast in 2nd is terrible

citation? Was that claimed from actual measurement or predicted from mathematical models? Was it for the transmission itself from input to output shaft? What happens to the total figure when adding in drive shaft, diff, and half shafts?

That would be more than the slushbox 10r80. Please explain.... this should be entertaining.
again, you've got an actual, published report where someone reputable dyno'd the engine, turned around and installed it into the car and ran it on a chassis dyno and came up with less than 13% loss? And did it a few times to make sure the results were repeatable? Or Tremec/Ford measured (and then published) input and output energy measurements under laboratory conditions? That'll be a first...

You can NEVER take factory claimed performance as some kind of immutable 'truth' upon which to naively base further calculations. Error bars are a fact of life and even a 1% deviation at multiple stages stack up.

Lots of tracks look downhill in pictures.
They are not in real life.

I believe he is going off of what GM claimed when MT contacted them about their flawed C8 test
