I went to start my car today and got this message. The car started ok and the message disappeared. I thought it was a one time thing , but it came back latter and the car started ok no issues. I checked the battery with a battery tester and it read "Good" and showed 75% charge.

Any one have this message before? What does it mean? And what should I do about it?

Mine started doing that about 3-4 months before the battery went out. How old is your battery?

My battery is only a few months old. The car was at the body shop for 3 weeks so it was not driven, but I put it on a battery trickle charger when I got the car back . That was over a week ago . And everything was ok until today.

My 2018 w/original battery, has produced the same message sporadically after not being driven/started in a few weeks. Start it, drive it, and it doesn’t present the message again for a while. I’ve just ignored it, if the car starts, runs and operates fine that’s all that matters.

Take it for a longer drive and let the alternator charge it back up a bit. Short drives won’t do much. If your tester is showing 75%, it probably just needs to be charged back up.

Sounds good! It's the first time I have seen that message which is odd because it's a relatively new battery and I put it on a trickle charger ( 1 amp) every couple weeks since I don't drive more than 30 minutes a day 4 days a week.

My Ford Escape Hybrid does that a bit when I am doing my car wash with opening and closing doors and cleaning the car while engine is off. the battery and lights are being left on. I have to often lock car with remote once I am done with a door so it turns lights off sooner to prevent that message.
