Two unusual complements in one day.....

I've had people yell "nice car" as I drive by, people pull up at a light and chat for a minute, etc. Its funny because there are actually quite a few S550s around town, so it's not an exceedingly unusual car.

Best compliment/shocked look so far was at the local dragstrip T&T on Friday night. Car was running decent, given the limited traction of the A/S tires. Pulled around to park, popped the hood for a little cool down, and started watching the track. Older gentleman walks up and says "that 5.0 is running pretty good, and nice looking car"....I had to smile as I told him not a 5.0..4 cyl turbo. Thought his eyes were going to pop out of his head :lol:. We talked for a few minutes, and he was completely surprised that it was a 4 cyl, on reg street tires, and outrunning V8s. He looked the car over, thanked me for the chat, and walked away shaking his head. Shock and awe...gotta love it.

Oh, and car was running 8.50's @ 83-84.....only an 1/8 mile track.

I get that too! People think I actually turbocharged a v8 LOL

I had a couple of Jehovah's Witnesses the other day acting like they had just seen Elvis in my driveway....was pretty funny...

I have also received so many compliments as well...pretty cool to get some of these from high end car owners like porsche, vipers, etc...at the end of the day, we are all enthusiasts who appreciate auto greatness!!

It's crazy, the attention / respect from the "high-end" drivers. I am still all, "Who, me?" and looking around like a dork... :shrug:
