So I just applied an Unleashed 93 Perf tune to my 2018 EB and I'm very happy with what Torrie was able to provide! This thing pulls like I never imagined it could, especially coming from a POS tune that another vendor couldn't get right after 6 revisions (story for another time). It chirps the tires all the way into 4th gear using sport mode.

My question... After a 20 min test drive with about 3 WOT pulls and 45mph cruising speeds in-between, and the turbo is glowing red. Google seems to think this is normal but I just wanted to see what you guys are experiencing. Is it normal and should I just put on a turbo blanket and live with it? I'm new to forced induction and I appreciate the feedback.

See image below and mods are listed in my signature.

You can fit a generic T3 blanket if you are handy......

Nice. I’m assuming the OE heat shield is removed? Did you have to undo any of the vacuum lines or remove the downpipe? Did you fish it through entirely standing over the engine bay? Also, what year? I removed my heat shield but wasn’t able to get it underneath on several attempts.

installed by fully removing the heat shield. No downpipe or vacuum fitting removal.
only trick is to remove the vibration damper from the motor mount. This makes it much easier to get that bottom heat shield bolt off.
You will have to finesse the blanket under the coolant lines on the left of the turbo.
installed on the ground fully from the top. Mine is a 16.
