if they asked for premium fuel id be more than happy to use it like i said cost difference is a load of bs but ive used both and notice no difference unless i go with shells top of the line fuel so yea unless ford says car requires premium im not wasting my money unless im tuned

At first I didn't notice a difference between 87 and 93 on stock tune, but after driving 20 or so miles with 93, I felt it FWIW. Car ran smoother too IMO. After a tune a bigger difference.:cheers:

You will be much more satisfied with a 93 octane tune.
The cost of the tune will be the same, so why not get the most bang for your buck.

Agreed. Give her what the manufacturer says . If you can't afford the extra ~0.50 in gas per gallon then go buy a Honda.

Even my Honda requires 93.. (13 Si). To buy a performance car and be cheap with gas :headbonk:

Ford actually has amended all of the literature on their website to say that they recommend 91+ on all performance and turbo applications. The car was actually engineered for 91 by Ford. The base cal just allows for 87, but if you saw how sad the car is on the dyno with 87 in it you would laugh!

Our MyCal loaded with our FF tune for the Coyote will automatically adjust for the presence of premium (91+) and/or e85. You do not have to measure or wonder if your tank is currently within whatever fudge factor that your tuner is set for. With us all that you have to do is load your FF tune, fill your tank and drive! How much more user friendly can it possibly be!?!

because it runs on 87 just fine its like what a 5 hp loss i know that gap will be larger once tuned but if you cant answer the question then move along i asked for assistance on the matter not your personal opinion :cheers:

Yea you keep putting 87 in that car in this weather while asking for tuning suggestions. Find a way to datalog and you'll see that car is pulling shit tons of timing on 87 compared to 93. But yea you know best.

Single digit MPG comes with it. I wouldn't do E85 unless you're boosted. There's a solid 80-100hp delta for me with E85 and 93.
