My RX7 had only 58k miles. It was clean af. Had upgraded intercooler, radiator & a few other bits. Lost the apex seals at a very bad time in my life. I had the $ to fix it finally & I ended up gifting my dad a 2 car garage with the $ instead. Right before we got done building the garage we got a nasty hail storm. I was devistated. I ran out of $ & got into some trouble so I had to let it go. Sold it for $3500. It was a give away even with a bad engine. Guy drove 8 hrs to pick it up & still couldnt believe the price as I signed over the tittle to him. I almost cried. It was my fault, I hit a rough spot & couldnt do nothing about it. But oh well, Live & learn.
Dang maneeee, that woulda been a dope build too. Yea i feel that, letting go is the hardest and being in a situation where you can control much their really is no other option then just getting rid of it! That crazy tho. I bet that buyer was extremely happy about it too. Ik I def. would if I got a steal of a deal like that! Even tho its not perfect, but stil crazy!

Not sure. My guess is they are all pretty similar in loudness just different tones. For me atak/corsa extreme are way to raspy/ bass boat like. I want some growl in the exhaust and not to go deaf listening to them. I prefer a magnaflow type exhaust. Or even the stock exhaust with a h pipe resonator delete. Thats what i had and was really happy but with the catless long tubes i just installed its way to over the top now. I think im going to get a magnaflow resonator.
I love the Magnaflows on my 67 Shelby GT350 with modified custom Hooker Super Comp with 3 1/2" collectors and 3" "X" to those mufflers and continuing on to the 3" (all in 304 stainless) exiting to factory Shelby era-style Tony Branda chrome tips.

As for my 2020 PP2 I'm very happy with the 1 - 3/4" (smaller tube) Kooks stainless headers with green cats losing the factory resonator for a Steeda 2 1/2" H-pipe coupled to the rear with the rest of the factory exhaust (with Active-control). I'm quite happy tracking this car this way. I'm also happy with the Coyote 5.0 motor as factory configured.... not going to supercharge it.

Maybe I step up to a so-called improved CAI (FP or JLT) and a tune to go with it for a slight horsepower gain.... and even with that those 1 - 3/4" Kooks satisfy my rpm and power band. I am done spending more crazy money on the exhaust system to make more noise. The Borla and Corsa are beautiful in themselves but I can't see spending the money. I've spent enough and the rest in this area I think provide only marginal performance and maybe more unwanted noise? I guess that's all subjective as far as what one wants to hear!

I am very content where I'm at and it the exhaust system as it stands sounds awfully good as told to me by my neighbors having received their thumbs up on both cars without my having to supply them with ear plugs. Amen.

Please post pics and video of your exhaust setup once you get it installed. I’m looking for ideas for the perfect setup with dumps for the track.

Keep the stock box and add a drop in. Flows well and keeps iats down. If you have access to e85 then tuning for it when the time comes is the way to go.

Bags are not the best option for bang for buck. Those def has to be coils. I just don’t wanna be static on all my builds. I want some variety. Plus I’ve never touched bags so I wanna see what all the hype is about and if I should run them again for another project build or something. Money does become a issue but I’m keeping the car long term unless it gets totaled or something but other then that I’m not getting rid of the vehicle. It’s gonna be the weekend car at one point but as of right now it’s the daily so having bags on one car and coils on the other is gonna be different feel in suspension. I’m basically saving up years for bags so I have time, since I’m not doing any bolt ons except exhaust till like around 45,000 miles. Just to be safe.
A bagged S550 I agree is not optimal. I put a 63 T-Bird in Air-Ride with a 4 -link rear and Fat Man lowered spindles on the front and I'm into lowriders.... I have MagneRide on the red Mustang and if I didn't I'd go all out with a complete coilover shock system like J&R shocks or a Multimatics solution which I can't get let alone afford it!

Other than that I'd probably bag all of my older rides. I like sitting in the dirt and resting the frame. Get Low!

Thank you - that's good advice for sure. A closed box with a drop-in is a winner, no doubt. I don't have much access to E85 here so I'm relegated to a 93 tune for now unless someone has a better idea. Thanks again!

You could order up some One Ethanol or Ignite Red by the pail and tune for it. Then save it for when you want to really run your best.

Yes, put in track mode. Shutoff, pull fuse 34.

Richard
Don’t suppose you know of a similar trick for Advancetrac..?

Dropping in something like a K & N intake filter makes a difference??

Wouldn't you get a a CEL?

Drop in filter like K&N or AFE by itself in a 18+ stock air box will increase air flow some and make a slight difference. No cel from filter swap. Still a better option than most "cai" since it flows well and keeps iats down.

Are you talking about turning off traction control?
No just the traction control but specifically andavcetrac. Manually turning it off every time I get in the car is annoying
