I recently installed one of VMP’s Whipple based Gen 6, Stg 3 kits on my 18 model, 6sp convertible. VMP was very helpful in getting the initial tune setup utilizing the TDN app and their supplied RTD device. However, this past week I managed to actually make it down to VMP’s facility in New Smyrna Beach FL, for some additional fine tuning on the dyno. After getting the car strapped down, Levi made the initial pull netting 680rwhp, but he noticed the car was pulling timing at the upper rpm’s. He suspected the quality of the premium fuel I was running and suggested adding a splash of Boostane to spice up the suspect fuel. I also decided to drop down one pulley size, to a 3.75”, to bring the power in a little sooner. After some final adjustments, the car laid down 760rwhp and 606lb-tq! All done on a not so good DA day with 90 degrees and 80% humidity. To put it simply, I was very impressed with the excellent customer service and support from the VMP team…JD, Levi, Tyler and Rick were all great! I would highly recommend VMP for their services.
