I suppose I should look into this "warranty" I have then. Thank you.

Sorta off topic but not..
Will an s550 make better gains from a cai/tune combo (as in they compliment each other) or is it like, for example:

Only CAI + 5 RWP
Only tune + 15 RWP

Add them together and you get..
= + 20RWP

OR do they compliment each other and together I could gain something like +25 RWP?

These are just hypothetical numbers to properly articulate my question.

Thanks
I'd typically say skip cai and keep closed box to keep iats down especially in warmer climates (or add 18+ oem intake if gen2). Adding long tubes with the tune would get you alot better performance. Obviously tuning for e85 would be ideal as well.

a partial write, or one that is able to restore the PCM key count is likely the differentiator. I don't know but I suspect SCT et. al. could trivially write their software to read/restore the value and this boggie man could be put to rest.
I'm not saying it is not possible but it would change the firmware. Would Ford catch it? If it was a 20K engine probably.
