Some tunes void warranties. It really all depends on the dealer and who you know working there. We have a lot of customers who flash their cars back to stock/revert the parts back to stock who have warranties with minor bolt ons.
Can you reflash to stock if you’re running E85? I assume you’d have to siphon it out some how. Would a dealer void warranty if they see the wrong fuel?

I haven’t bought one yet because I still have 2+ years on power train warranty. I have a 2018 that desperately wants a tune. Might get one 4th of July sales... not sure yet cause of the whole ‘voids warranty’ talk
Well you can reflash back to stock with 93 in the tank and do lots of small trips around town toget your ignition cycle up if you need something done that isn't an emergency... but if something catastrophic happens and e85 in the tank.. better find a very understanding dealer... around me they arent any.

If you had a flex tune you could fill up with as much 91/93 as you had left available in the tank over the e if you wanted to normalize it some. But honestly unless you are talking catastrophic failure where engine or tranny needs to be replaced most dealerships will work with you. For example, say your ac had to be swapped. No worries dealer would cover it as nothing to do with the tune broke it lol.

You can get a tune to run your pump. You unhook fuel line and drain, good for fuel changes. Also the dealer doesn't void warranties. I don't know why everyone keeps saying the dealer voided this or that. The manufacturer decides if they approve the claim and pay the dealer to do the repair. While it's not as lucrative as non-warranty work, dealers do have incentive to get your claims approved. Think of it like health insurance; Your doctor would make a lot more if you paid out of pocket, but ultimately most work he's doing is through insurance, if he can get insurance to approve he gets paid. Much the same as doctors, dealers do a ton of warranty work as part of their business model.

To get the claim approved your dealer may have to provide all kinds of things like pictures, scan data, etc... Also just because you had a tune and something broke doesn't mean it's tune related, but it definitely gives the manufacturer a possible out. For instance if there is a known mode of failure your tune may not be considered as having anything to do with it. It's a little like health insurance, a significant factor is who works your claim and how they perceive it at both the dealer and the mfg. A mod friendly dealer is more likely to know how to get claims through. Unfriendly dealers may try to brush you off because they feel it's a waste of time if they believe the claim will be denied and you're not likely to pay them for the repair (i.e. you'll go to an independent shop).

You would have to empty the E85 out of the tank and fill with 93 to go back to stock file. The big thing they pick up on at the dealers is the actual tune in the PCM.

Not cheap but some flashers offer their own Powertrain warranty provisions. Otherwise you can get a FRPP tune and flash the car with that. And then re-flash to your 3rd party. Then just flash back to the FRPP. "I flashed back to stock every time I brought the car in for service. That's why the count is so high" - a medium gray lie.
