what’s up peeps

First time mustang owner, 2015 GT 6spd. I purchased the car just under a year ago, started having issues with a few things, which have be “fixed”. Changed out 3.73 for 3.55, now getting a sluggish feeling around 50mph (any gear) and was told by the shop that I need to get the car re-tuned. The car already has some sort of tune, seeing how it was sold to me with a JLT intake already installed. My main question is, is there a specific tuner device/brand that can override whatever the current tune is?
Any recommendations will help
Thanks in advance

well, the tune device would need to read the stock file first, which unfortunately is no longer present.

So, I’ll have to have the ford dealership flash it, change back to the stock intake and then get another tune?

Question, why did you go from 3.73 to 3.55 gears?

Unfortunately I was easily convinced that the 3.55s respond better to boost and that’s gonna be happening in the near future
hmm, i might have to look into that!

I tried to search up some info and numbers on it but clearly it’s evenly rated by the people and personal preference. You have any pics of your setup?

Yup. But most dealer techs are 'tards.. make sure to tell the to tick the box 'aftermarket calibration' on their scanner... otherwise they'll tell you the can't read it.

You should be able to save your current tune as the stock tune. Take a look at Wengerd Performance. https://wengerdperformance.com Tell him your situation and see what he can do to help. Top notch service and will answer any questions you have upfront. There are a few other options out there as well, but i've used most of them over the years and Wengerd is one of the best current Coyote tuners that hasn't let success get to his head...

We can make you a stock file just from your vin and using original asbuilt data. You can load it with any hp device RTD or MPVI.

We do this frequently for other tuners who need stock files and are stuck with a car that is not stock and a scrambled osid.

Soon as I get my hands onto a device, I’ll get on sending info over. Is all that possible with potentially having a lund or vmp tune as well?

My procharged 15 with a 27" tire would slam into the whatever the procharger's tune rev limit was set at (7300?) just before the end of the 1/4 at 119 mph in 4th gear. When I short shifted into 5th I lost time but got it up to 124 trap speed. I swapped to 3.55 and could reach the end of the 1/4 in 4th at 125 with no other changes. I also gained about 1 mpg and it was a little easier to drive in the city

Thread hijack incoming. On a 15 PP MT82, when I changed from 3.73 to 3.55 should I have needed to change something in the ECU/PCM? I didn't and it ran fine but I'm wondering if it could have run better. The speedo was dead on after the swap without any programming. Livernois (who I lived 5 miles from at the time) swore I needed their $1000 tune and quoted me over $2100 to change the gears. Someone else said that was bull so I did the gear change myself. I keep getting conflicting information. Thanks!
