there is a lot of postings to the "Engine dies randomly!!? thread in the Issues section.

I test drove a 2016 Premium PP and it stalled on me.

I will be curious what they think of your headers. They may not make anything of it. I probably wouldn't change the tune back to stock if it will generate a CEL.

Right. I really don't know what to do now. I'm just glad that there is a fix and that it's just not happening to me. Car is so powerful with the mods and I love the sound but it's making me wish I never had modded. To think I was thinking about putting a blower on the car (then again I still might lol smh). I just want this issued fixed. I hope they don't trip when they see my headers

This is it!!! This is the damn problem I'm having. They can't say the tune in have caused this problem if it states "cars built on or before 12/5/14 may exhibit an idle dip or loss of rpm when clutch pedal depressed to stop or downshift after a clutch engaged deceleration condition with no DTC's present during engine warm up" clink link below

http://ford.oemdtc.com/1263/idle-dip-or-loss-of-rpm-with-clutch-pedal-depressed-2015-ford-mustang

I'd bring it in with that recall in hand and show them how easy it'll be to fix. I doubt they'd even do enough investigating at that point to see that you have headers or that the PCM has been flashed. If they do, try another dealer. For a 0.3hr service job somebody will fix that without hassling you about mods.

You pay to play. If you're a modder you have to accept the risk that you may have to pay out of pocket if things break down. It's just part of the lifestyle. Don't regret your mods.

what tune are you running? Maybe you can get a custom tune that holds the idle RPM a little higher ?

doesn't seem to be anything definitive on this site, although I havent' read through all the postings on the Engine Dies randomly! thread

As far as the TSB,

Reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM) to the latest calibration using IDS or Ford J2534 release 95.01 or higher.

If you have custom tune, is this still relevant? Will they just overwrite what you have ? Seems like if the idle RPM is 600 or whatever, you can try a tune mod that bumps it up , e.g. 800

I don't know I'm on the way to my Tuner shop now and ask some more questions. I'm gonna ask him about bumping up the rpms a bit . But the problem is when I decelerate. If the car sitting at a light it won't shut off. Its when your coming to a stop. Example your in first gear at 4000 or 5000 rpm and hit the clutch, the rpm will just fall all the way to 0 sometimes not all the time. That the question I want answered as far as the custom tune. Idk. So I called another Ford dealership and they said the tsb number 15-0128 is in there system. The problem is my car was built in Feb not in Dec so they couldn't find it under my vin.

when you are at 4-5000 RPM and push the clutch, how fast does it go to 0 ? Immediately? or are you coasting to see what will happen?

It'll hesitates a little tries to keep idle then drops. It does it so smoothly. I didnt even know the car shut off at first. I just talked to my Tuner. He said put it back to stock, stock airbox and stock tune, drive it to Ford have them up load the new software and he can place my tune on top on the new software

This assumes they have new software. Is there way to find out what software version your car has, versus what is the latest ?

I have no idea. I'm sure they'll be able to find out. I just hope I have the old software up loaded right now. If they say my software is up to date and I'm still having issues I won't know what to do
