Tune vs Dyno tune

Not sure if I should jump in on this thread or start a new one. I would like to use the NGauge and most likely Lund but I don't want to be locked in to one tuner. Can I get an unlocked NGuage like this:

And then buy a Lund tune? And if I did that, would the Lund tune still come up free updates?

Another dumb question...If I purchase the SCT tuner and run a Lund tune on it can I change my mind later and run another tune from a different company? Or have the two companies tunes on the same device? I'm really sorry for being new to all this new car modding.

You can switch tuning companies at will with the SCT X4. You can store multiple tune files on the one device and switch them back to back to see the differences.
