The above TSB was just released last week for the A10. I’m not sure how many saw the updated TSB, but here are a few pics. I had the body control module update yesterday and I asked the Ford tech about it and he showed me what was involved with it.

Hmmm, every now and then my 2021 Mach 1 A10 hangs up in a gear when I'm not driving in a way that would encourage sport behavior, or delays going into reverse. If I see it much more, I'll raise it with my dealer. Thanks for posting.

Mine does it at times when in Sport mode. Based on what I was reading and what the tech showed me, it looks like an all day thing with the fix.

as far as the Body control module goes, no issues after the update. The Ford mobile service made it easy. He was done in 30 mins

I would be hesitant to even let them make a change to my A10...it shifts pretty well in all modes.

Luckily, it doesn't seem to include the 2023's, so maybe whatever the fix is, was included on the 2023's.

I had a 2022 GT A10 and it shifted horribly. I had to keep it in normal mode because Sport/Sport+/Track shifted like a bucking horse, even when just trying to drive like a grandma.

Just finished getting this TSB fixed on my 10R80 (2018). After the adaptive learning finished doing its thing, it honestly is shifting better than ever. Coming to a stop shifting down has changed quite a bit as well as harshness is zero. This is a game changer for me after listening to some saying that the harshness and delayed shifts are normal for the 10R80 but the truth is, what I’m experiencing now is normal. It’s a true pleasure to drive, in Sport + too! That used to be the harshest drive other than Track mode.

Even the Ford tech explained to me and showed me the CDF drums side by side and what has changed and how this won’t happen again with the new updated design. Also, at least from my dealer, the tech said this has been fixed with 2022 Ford vehicles and newer with the 10R80.

So if you’re like me and your Mustang fell into this TSB…I highly recommend getting it done, especially if you’re like me and got the extended warranty! It’s well worth it!

I don't believe warranty is needed to be eligible.

Otherwise sweet talk the service manager (not the service writer). Or threaten to accidentally drive thru their plate glass walls as your A10 erratically decides to buck and jerk at just the wrong moment.

Gotcha covered; we keep 10R80 TSB’s updated here:
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/2018-10r80-a10-most-recent-tsb’s-in-here.102918/page-8

2046 was released Feb. 22, 2024. The thing with TSB’s is they are not sent to any owners of affected vehicles, they’re just an internal “FYI” for the Ford Techs to follow known possible diagnosis concerns and fixes. TSB’s are usually covered under warranty periods (3/36 and 5/60 Powertrain), but once outside those windows, cost is on the owner.

Also for those who don’t visit other sub-sections of this site and are 10R80 owners, this thread is the “all 10R80” facts/tech thread for new owners and existing. The first post contains A LOT of 10R80 tech, upgrades, shifting tech, and a lot more good stuff.

https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...tions-to-harsh-or-no-shift-conditions.135463/

enjoy!
