Looking to do my first oil Change since I am around 1100 miles. Is it worth changing the transmission and diff oil at the same time? If so what are you guys using?

Unless you have tracked the car, no use in changing so soon. I'm about to change mine after about 2 days of track time (7 hours). I'm using mobil 1 synthetic 75w90 LS for the diff, and mobile 1 synthetic atf for the trans

Your trans and diff oil should be good for 30,000 miles, unless you run your car through some very high heat cycles, like extended periods at 270F +.

Howdy all - reviving this old thread.

Has anyone switched to other types of diff/trans fluid? Thoughts?

Additionally, I've seen mention of needing to activate the diff cooler pump to completely drain the oil. Completely necessary? I've also been told not to run a pump dry.

Thanks all!

I used Amsoil in transmission and differential. Didn't activate pump for differential.

Don't change gear oils too often. Just let them do their job. If you have a damn good reason to, then of course do it.
