TracKey For The GT350?

Yesterday afternoon I was picking up my grandchild from school in Southern Ontario and noticed a brand new White/Blue OTT stripes GT350 in the school parking lot and after some looking around I located the owner.

This retired gentlemen worked at the Ford Oakville plant for over 30 years and of course I had a great conversation with him about Mustangs and in particular the GT350.

At the end of our conversation he mentioned to me that Ford is in the process of developing a TracKey for the GT350 much the same as when they came out with one for the 2012 and 2013 Boss 302 cars.

I questioned his statement but he seemed very informed and sincere about his source at Ford and that this process was in place would be coming out soon through FP.

If this subject has already been discussed then I apologize as I must have missed it otherwise I am looking for some feedback as to a possible TracKey for the GT350.

Thanks as obviously I missed this news and appreciate the confirmation.

Will the TracKey work much in the same manner as the Boss 302 cars or has Ford even elaborated on what we can expect from it such as engine braking, lumpy cam idle etc.?

I for one am very excited about it. I hope they will have it available this summer. Also - I really hope it's available for all GT350s. If it's R and track package only I would not be happy.

Will there be two keys? One for "track" packaged cars and one for "Tech" packaged cars? Sorry for being annoying, but considering the complaints by Tech owners when tracking their cars, what would be the benefit of such a "trackey" for a tech car?

A fix is on the way, so soon base/tech owners will be able to do a 20 minute session.
