Only have 305s
That's what I saw too. Have the CFTP so could run the 305's all the way around and be fine. Then thinking geez - for the money I spent on the car and the new wheels why not just pony up the extra $400 and get the tires that were built for the car and quit messing around. Damn, wish there were some Pirelli DH's in this size as those have been fantastic for me. Truth be told those have have been take-off's but I still get another 3-4 weekends out of them.

Think I'm back to the Cup 2's but appreciate the feedback from all.

'TIRES15' works on goodyear.com if you don't have USAA to fall back on.

Getting ready for my first track event with the GT500. Anyone using anything OTHER than the CUP 2's on their GT500?
What event? I need to go hit COTA for the first time. That one might be good timing for me.

Man, COTA is expensive. I don't see anything for February, but I'll check edge addicts when it gets closer.

Very interested in seeing what the GT500 can hit in that long back straight.
Yes, it is a super nice facility. And if you hit something or drop any fluids, better have a lot on cash with you or room on your credit card.
I’m hitting 150-155 on the back straight. Depends on how good a launch you get out of the hairpin.

because they fine you? Or because it's a long way to 'civilization'?

They make you pay for all damages and speedy dry ($150/bag as I recall). They have those fancy foam impact devices and each one is like $1,500 or so. There was a guy that took out 3 of them at our last event and I think she said he had to pay like $5,000 before they would let him leave.
I always carry track insurance. But I don’t think it covers damage to the facility.
