My last event at OIR I had the wheel weights on the front fall off at the end of the second day. Many of my peers use aluminum tape over the top to help deflect the heat. I have no plans on rebalancing as I only use these wheels for track use.
@Tomster I remember your original write up on this some time ago. Thank you for the follow up on this now. Makes it look simple enough if you're patient and just follow the process.
Fortunately I haven't had this problem but had the glue holding wheel weights melt a few weeks back. Made me...
Holy sweet Jesus. $12/gal. For how much these cars drink when opened up that can make for a 3rd mortgage on the house.
I know everyone has their opinions. I traditionally run 93 and from BP or Shell if at all possible. Many places you can't get 93 and are either forced to go to 91 or race...
My experience is that most really good tracks are a fair distance from a major airport. I think about Road America and you're an hour away from Milwaukee, Mid Ohio you're 45 minutes from Columbus, Road Atlanta (while distance close) you're many days from the airport (sarcasm but you drive...
Okay funny one here. I bought the 4S's as my rainy day/cool weather tire for my Boss 302. Like them so much I only go back to slicks when the conditions are nearly perfect. 4S's are great tires and I think really affordable.
I noticed when pushing it that hard (on the track only) the fuel gauge goes down almost as fast as the speedometer goes up :)
Road America in the spring I was touching 170mph going into #1. Probably could do more but oh my that is really moving.
I did the GT500 Track Attack and thought it was pretty good. Unfortunately my time was just as the world was exiting COVID so we didn't get the full treatment but the school did the best they could.
I did the 2nd day in the Mustang GT's and found the tires slippery as well. Asked them to take...
I have a set of monoblock aluminum from LA Motorsports. They weigh 1 pound more than the CF and I've been super happy with them. Just put a new set of Cup2's on them.
You guys crack me up. Yes, I have a lift and all the tools to do my own work. Quite frankly I feel like fuel is the most expensive part on this car.
I've been through 3 sets of tires and brake pads on this car and have a 2nd track car (Boss 302) that gets a majority of the track time. Didn't...
