So does anyone have any clues as to what kind of track oriented options you can get for this monster?

I would like:

- Wheel options (CF)
- shock options (I will not get MagneRide seeing as they weigh too much)
- coolers
- ducting
- brake upgrade

Anything else you guys can think of that's reasonable?

I would assume the top suspension that would be offered with the track pack or track options would be the magna ride setup. Why would you want a track version of a car and not get the top of the line suspension?

The Z28 got rid of the magnetic suspension of the ZL1 in favor of the DSSV shocks with conventional springs. There's always a bigger, badder option.

from an enthusiast & engineering view point.
non-adjustable or manually adjustable have great handling. only "problem" is they're limited to a specific situation. You can tune for street or road race style or a compromise. GT350 has virtually no compromise road race style engine & brakes. It needs a great suspension set-up to work as a totally balanced system. Not a street set-up, compromise or sandbag to make MagneRide look good.

I would hope (not facts, just ramblings):
"base" suspension is track tuned, but a little harsh on the street (like 1LE & Z/28)
MagneRide is track tuned & automatically adjusts to allow softer daily driving.

MagneRide should be positioned like upgraded radio, nav & leather seat. optional luxury/comfort items on a race style car.

from a marketing standpoint it would be more difficult. requires them to educate the consumer. it's much easier to say it cost more so it's better, period. Instead of, customer asks "is it better for track?" salesperson "No, it's equal on track but better on street."
