Track Oil redux

No, the auxiliary oil cooler was what was needed to lower CHT from 250+ to 235-240 220. I'm running 40w because track temp is still higher than street temp.

Also, axle steady at 220F with DIY cooler, and A10 steady at 205 with 2nd OEM trans cooler.

The box oil can be put straight into the fill tube!

Stock gen3 coyote takes w20 or w30 for the street depending on manufacture year, roush supercharged coyote requires 5w50 regardless, mach1 coyote takes anything between 5w30 and 5w50 between street and track. Physically, it's all the same engine, so make your conclusions . I would never run w20 on track and I make sure my oil gets up to temp before I start pushing it.

Update - two days at Mid-Ohio last weekend, 74F max ambient.
Max temps were 230 CHT, 225 Axle, 210 Trans.
Each has a DIY auxiliary cooler.

Also, the oil life dropped 12% each 20min session. Which would put me at -35% by the time I got back home, lol.

Most sessions were 220, but one was 228.

I used to run the Motorcraft 5W50 oil but I am now running Evolve Oil. I ran my last track day with it and everything was fine. I will admit that I know the owners of Evolve Oil and that is why I am running it, but it has been tested by major manufacturers and has passed.
