finally, some people intending to track these cars. what's up with >50% of these cars being tech pack?
Why can't we take our tech pack cars to the track? The tech pack cars have all the important, expensive bits you want for the track, plus being easier to live with daily.

Mine is a Tech because:
First priority - fun all-around car
Second priority - track days
Plus, the Recaros aren't comfortable for me
Well said, and my thoughts are pretty much identical. Why spend a bunch of money on a car and then not drive it or only drive it on the track?

I am a member at Atlanta Motorsports Park (in Dawsonville, just north of ATL)and can similarly bring guests or can arrange a full track day if we get enough participants. Don't know when I will get my R (I guess next Spring), but it will live in my garage there with other toys. Not sure how to burn the 1000 miles for break-in. :headbang:
I'd be up for this.

Plenty of people have been tracking regular GT's for years and they don't come with trans or diff coolers either. People are making a bigger deal out of this than they should.

On the street I can't see anybody overheating any component on the car other than the tires.

Track it and pay attention to the gauges. You will be fine. If you start racing then upgrade as you can. Get the catch cans FP is recommending.

Hey you all in the Southeast may be interested in this club.

They run VIR Full course 3 times a year. I don't even think you have to be a member to join one of their track events. I believe they have an event coming up in late November.

Here is the info if your interested:

Thought I'd start a thread for owners that are interested in doing track days with their cars with other owners. I'll go ahead an start. I'm thinking sometime next year around summer time I'll talk to the owner of Hallett Motor Racing Circuit (a personal friend) in Tulsa, OK and see if we can get something going for a few owners. It shouldn't cost too much. Thoughts?
I'm in for Hallett.

In for this. Us Southeast guys should also plan a day to go to VIR too in the Spring.

The wife and I will be at Sebring with Chin Motorsports in January, assuming I can get 1k miles on it before then.
Which January event, the 2/3 or 30/31? I'll be at the January 2/3, but will be at Daytona the 30/31...

30/31. I'll just need to put 1000 miles on it before then. I don't get the car until Christmas.

I typically instruct the Wednesday before the Mid America meet at Hallet. I might be in especially if it was small group.

I also instruct for Eagles Canyon in north Texas for their track days and Sam Pack Ford's track days that they put on at the same track. When my car arrives, I'm sure I'll be taking students and others for rides.
I am in for any north Dallas events.

Thats why I made the thread was for people to do as you said to post when and where but since I was making it I thought I'd just put it out there that if theres a few owners in the area as soon as the cars ship in this area that is.
We have an event already organized just a few miles North of Hallett and would love to have all of you join! We had two preproduction GT350Rs at this year's Mustang Roundup that were driven by Ford executives. Several of us have already taken delivery of our 2015 and 2016 GT350s and will be there next year. There is also a separate competition class exclusively for GT350s.

Many of the senior Ford leaders have already registered for next year's event and this is a great opportunity to meet them and learn more about the GT350 program. If you register before 12/31 you can take advantage of an early bird discount. Trust me, this is the most unique Mustang road racing event you'll ever attend

I'll be at the first Test n Tune of the '16 PDX season at the Milwaukee Mile and Milwaukee SCCA Solo. So if anyone's in the chapter or area, hit me up!
You have the mecca of all road courses in your backyard......Road America  I'll be there for the NASA event May 21-22, and the Northwoods Shelby Club Event July 8-10 at a minimum. I'll likely find another event there in either June or August as well. Any plans to take your GT350 there?

I will fly in and pay for the gas and take it for how ever many miles you want and not go over any rpms/speed you tell me.:headbang::lol:
