"And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Dea..." pffffft!! To heck with all that! Behold the Dark Horse! Attended the Mach 1 Track Attack last week for an incredible 2-day experience at 'merica's home of racing. I hope anyone that had the opportunity was able to take advantage. It was a blast; definitely worth the trip. FPRS received some additions to the stable while we were there. Might have to buy one of these and do it all over again.

Downsized and moved this summer. Waited too long to book mine. On a wait list for November but not looking good. No more Mach 1 TA after this year. 😕 My own damn fault, of course.

When i was there in Sept the instrutor stated they were going to have a few mach1 classes in spring. No idea if it was true.

Thanks, appreciate that. When I called a couple months ago, I was told they were ending this year. I'll give them another call. Was not surprised that the TA classes would end in the same model year the Mach 1 did. Imagine there will be Dark Horse classes next year for the purchases of those vehicles. Ultimately, I'm just glad I found my Mach 1 this June - it puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.

I know the feeling, and that's the important thing. Is same for me. Found mine in June too.

If it makes you feel any better, as cool as TA was, the Day 2 GT class was even better, since you get 3 'open' sessions where you're not doing follow the leader, held back by the slowest driver in the group. And anyone can sign up for the GT course.

FPRS is retiring the 2015 GTs in November, replacing them with 2024s, and depending how they are optioned, might be close to the Mach 1, in terms of performance.

PS4S last much longer and for novice drivers I would say they are more predictable on the track. You can option to Cup 2's on TA if it's dry, iirc.
Also, since the Track Attack is rain or shine, the PS4’s are there for all-weather use. Was the Cup 2 option new? When I did mine in April there was no such choice. The only option was for the white GT’s for the 2-day.

Yep, was still that way last week. PS4 for TA day, and option for Cup 2 on second day with GTs. Instructors mentioned that was the standard.

IIRC, there is an extra $500 cost to have Cup 2s on your car for Track Attack.

I hope its true, I have been in contact with Ford Performance regarding Canadian 2023 owners and they still have not shipped out any 23 owner kits to Canada because of our asinine bilingual (French/English) laws, and they are still waiting on the French paperwork (kits are all made I'm told, just in a holding pattern still). But Anthony at Ford Performance (he has been awesome BTW), said to reach out to book a date since you don't need the physical invitation to book. I saw on the Track Attack website that booking was closed (makes sense, as they don't run in the colder months). I'm hoping they will still honor 2023 owners that hadn't had the opportunity to book yet next year in Mach 1. I'm still waiting to hear back from them..... fingers crossed.
It seems us Canucks up north get screwed again... LOL

Here is an update I just got back from the folks a FP Racing School Track Attack (Russell Perkins) just today:

Quote:\
Good Morning Andrew,

I am sorry to hear of the difficulty of fulfilling your request for the owner’s kit and thus delaying your registration of the Mach 1 Track Attack. Same as Anthony, I was not able to locate your sale in our records, but since you verified the purchase with him, I recognize it is valid. You are correct in that we will be transitioning to the Dark Horse for next year, but that program is specific to those owners, same as the Mach 1 program. We will have a limited number of Mach 1 classes next year for new owners that were unable to attend the program in 2023. I have added you to our email list and we will notify you once the 2024 schedule is released on the website in January.

So, there is hope for some of us who missed out, but, I suspect there will be very limited dates for Mach 1 in the spring. Will be keeping my eyes open.
