Track attack insurance?

I got the insurance for my GT350 Track Attack coming up in November.

I did the same the first I went but then opted out the 2nd time due to being familiar with the layout plus there was decent runoff in case you get in trouble.

Charlotte looks to be exciting since they configured the oval with the road course. I did the Nascar experience several years ago and that was definitely something everyone should try but not in the summer.

It makes no sense that you would be liable for their car on their track during their school. Someone isn't getting/giving all the details here. To avoid confusion, we are talking about the Track Attack class and not track days.

EDIT: They really want to be off the hook hardcore, lol. $200 isn't a lot of money but they really want no liability so they are passing their insurance liability to us. Meh.

A 16 gt350 is not worth $99k, why are you insuring it for that much ?
It’s kind of the wrong way to insure a car for track days, that just raise your deductible and the vast majority of track incidents don’t result in a totaled car

Yes we are talking about the Mach 1 track attack. Ford is not the only one that charges insurance. I've done an auto cross using super cars (Supercar Driving Experience) and Pocono Raceway Driving Experience for Nascar. Both charged for insurance.

What Joe Mac said -- you're driving their cars, so unless Hagerty has some provision we're not aware of, they're not doing anything for you. They do great if you're driving your car.

I took it when I went. Also just spoke to a 500 owner over the weekend who went in March. A guy in his group spun out and into the wall, he was fine, but was glad to have the insurance. The deductible is sky hi - only major downside.
