Not clear why the differences.

Ford Performance sets a 4 sensor kit and programmer for $163.99

https://www.americanmuscle.com/frpp-tpms-fullkit-2015.html

Ford Motor Co sells a 4 sensor kit and programmer for $169.99, and the sensors appear different (appear yellow in color and not described as "snap in replacements)

https://www.americanmuscle.com/tpms-fullkit-2015.html

Amazon lists individual Ford Motor Co sensors for $17.99 each or 4 for $69.99; programmer for $32.95; 4 sensors plus programmer = $102.94

https://www.amazon.com/Motorcraft-T...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=97YY8PBVKQ6EVXSB03TX

Am I missing something here??

make sure to get oem sensors, such as the ones gooner86 posted above, the ones AM sells are generic and will require programming

I can vouch for this route, too. Literally just bought these 3 weeks ago and installed on my new 6GR setup. No programming/learning was necessary in my case, they work perfectly. They arrived in a padded envelope but were in perfect OE condition.

Just buy these and call it a day. You dont need a programmer. Once installed the car will automatically relearn and adjust for the new sensors. You will have to drive about 10 to 20 miles before the systems recognizes the new sensors.

That ebay listing was sold out. So I searched the part number on Amazon and bought a $70 set.
I will try and remember to update this next week once they're on the new wheels and I get some miles on just to make sure they work.
