I noticed the other day that my TPMS display was showing 37psi on all tires so I decided to lower the pressure to 35. When I checked them, they were all actually at 33 so I aired them up to 35. However, the display still says 37. I went for a 1 hour drive and the PSI went up to 39 when the tires got hot but is now back to 37. What's going on with my TPMS? The last time I checked the pressure (via the display) was a few weeks ago and it was showing 35. I'll admit I don't much about TPMS but I can't imagine all 4 malfunctioning at the same time. Any thoughts?

Your vehicle is listed as a 2015. Are those the original, factory sensors? Aftermarket? Thanks.

This happens on my 2019 all the time. I never trust the dash reading. I check them every week with my portable tire inflator which is very accurate.

The TPMS sensor readings do not seem to update in real time. The ones on my car also consistently read 2 PSI higher than my tire gauge.

Up until now, it's always been pretty close to what I get with a digital gauge.

They're original, I can't find my receipt but I'm pretty sure Discount Tire did a TPMS rebuild when I bought tires last year.

FWIW, mine are a bit off sometimes, but never more than +/- .5 psi, .035 bar from what my handheld gauge says. These are Ford OEM units, in aftermarket rims. Mine do tend to display higher than actual, not lower.

I was thinking with age, temperature cycles and all that, they could lose some accuracy, but this is just a thought. I have no proof to confirm.

That could be. The damn things are nearly 8 years old after all. Even with a rebuild they might be getting to end of life. I guess I'll just keep an eye on the situation with gauge checks for now.

I did a little research on the ol' interwebs and the consensus seems to be that the lifespan is 5-12 years so I'm dead-nuts in the middle of that.

The only thing I've learned about TPMS lately, is that they're a pain in the ass. Thought about buying that bypass box, but haven't decided yet.
