My TPMS readings used to match my tire gauge readings perfectly prior to doing couple things to the car a few months ago:
1) I had my rear tires replaced
2) I switched from the PP2 tune to another tune about a week after getting new tires.

Didn't notice the TPMS reading wrong until after both the tires and tune, but now my TPMS always reads 3 psi high on all 4 corners, cold or hot. Verified with multiple gauges. I bought the training tool and using it didn't fix anything. I have tried doing the KAM reset and leaving the battery disconnected which didn't help either. I just put new wheels and tires on today with brand new Ford TPMS sensors and they also are reading 3 psi high.

Any ideas?

I haven't had TMPS run 3 psi over (or under) but they rarely equal my gauge. I use the TPMS as just an alert to a sudden problem; nail. That would bother me though being that far off.

3 different analog gauges read between 2-4 lbs low according to the TPMS on both Mustangs and my '15 GMC Canyon. Without a certified gauge, who knows which is right?

My TPMS has always shown a couple of PSI higher pressure than my digital tire gauge. I just check the pressures with my gauge every month or so and ignore the TPMS. Of course, they ever warned me of low pressure, I would pay attention.

Guess it’s not all too uncommon for the TPMS to be a few psi off. Still wish I knew why I had the step change in readings. It was really nice to have them read dead on with my real gauge.

I guess you could always disconnect the battery and see if that resets them and resolves the issue
