I got the ford racing tpms sensors with the programming tool to make sure everything syncs up!

You are using this on a 2015? Is is the same part for a 16 GT350?

Can you share the part numbers? Sounds like what I am looking for.

from what i can see there are two types,
TPMS-36 (Shelby Version,,Frequency - 868 MHZ, Frequency - 433MHZ)
and TPMS-39 (Shelby Version,315MHZ, (-)"GCC"Gulf Cooperative Countries)

Interesting to learn about the auto-learning business. I didn't know that. I have a 2015 GT Premium with the 20" wheels. I recently had to get a new TPMS installed in one of the wheels (long story) and my buddies shop used some expensive computer tool through the OBDII to program the sensors.

Auto-learn or not, I don't think the car knows which tires are at which corner. In other words, once you rotate your tires/wheels, the display in the dash will NOT relearn the positions. At least that's the impression I'm getting. I think you have to reprogram them after a rotation if you want the positions to be accurate.

Oh, as for part number, the part number that's on my bill for the TPMS sensor (again, this is for a 15' GT) is F2GZ1A189A. The abbreviated description says "TPMS sensor 315mhz"

Well said. My 2015 base GT didn't show what position the tires were in. It just would throw a code if a tire was low and then you had to figure out which tire it was. That type of setup doesn't need programming. The GT350 (tech pack) shows individual pressures at each corner and that won't work correctly without the reset tool. I'm not sure what the track and base models have - if they don't show the individual tire locations then a reset tool would not be needed.
