Depends on the chemicals they use. Not all are the same.It also doesn't get your car very clean.
My touch less is my 17year old grandson .once a month,As a rule, the soaps in the touch less car washes are very alkaline to help remove road film without contact. This is OK on occasion but over time it can degrade things, especially trims (ie rubber, plastic) and any coatings or sealants that are applied. Again, not a problem occasionally, much better than the spinning scratch o matic brushed units. I even use very alkaline soaps in my hand wash procedure occasionally for decontamination washes.
