This would be with the 3.73 gears I am assuming since it's a Euro spec?
I think all euro cars are 3.55 on M6 and A6.

My UK GT PP is an M6 3.55 traction lok diff as standard.

Oh OK. I knew you guys got the PP standard, but wasn't sure on the gears. I think 3.73s top out around 150ish. I know someone doing 1/2 mile runs was topping out around 150ish-160ish.

3.73s put you at 150 @7000 in 5th.
3.31s put you at 170 in 5th (6th calculates as a too tall, never gonna happen 261).

I would expect peak power to be between 6500-7000 unless you are running a GT350 or CJ manifold, so I wouldn't expect a higher rev limiter to help much for top speed, were you need peak power.

So 170 is my bet.
7500 rpm, if you could pull it in 5th, puts you at 180.

Put bigger tires in the back.
I think with 3.73 gearing, there should be some decent acceleration in 6th gear right?
3.31 is not possible unless you FI.

3.31's in 5th have 37% more torque multiplication than a 3.73 in 6th. So a 3.31 will leave a 3.73 at 150+. If you had 600+ HP, the 3.73 would have an advantage at 180+ (assuming MT82 6 speeds).

This would be interesting considering I have a 3.73 and MT82....:D

Putting bigger rear tires is a good idea for some extra top end.
6th gear will effectively end all acceleration at higher speeds. I ran the Texas Mile and tried shifting into 6th at 150mph and it felt like hitting a brick wall. Running it out in 5th is the only way to hit top speed unless you are making massive power from forced induction.
3.31 gears are the ones to have for top speed runs on an N/A Coyote.

Does anybody know what the limit is of the OEM driveshaft?

I remember a few years ago V6s removing the limiter and they were known to fail over that speed. Curious if it's the same for us at 164.

I'd like to see what I could do with 600-700whp and a 3.15 A6. Don't think I ever will get the chance though. :headbonk:

I don't think there is a limit on the GT drive shaft. Lot of 800HP superchagged GTs running the stock shaft around here.

Yes, but not much tire selection in 28"+ diameter tires. Most of us are running significantly shorter than stock tires because even the stock diameter has poor tire selection. Plus changing tire size (when you can) usually has less impact than changing the final drive/gearing.
