no update or new news> Ive been working non-stop and have not had time to drain the e85 and return to stock...honestly going past 80MPH is not in my agenda, however it is an issue for me overall

Here is a crazy wild guess:

Does your car have MagneRide? If not and it doesn't have a VDM I wonder why the "system" is looking for a VDM? Is it possible that some "setting" got changed to make the "system" think it is a MagneRide car?

I have no clue about this tuning related stuff so just throwing this out in case it might help.

Yes i had done the crank relearn, codes still there

Issue fixed , had a friend at dealership and we flashed the PCM with a IDS tool ... resets like its a new Car , he had to upload the ford configuration since the PCM is blank. Ran codes, didn't appear went on the HWY ran it past 80MPH like if nothing ever happen. Uploaded lund tune (After unlocking it ) ran like a champ . No Codes. This all took place today. Will update if issue re-appears again.


The cause, according to him may have been that while uploading a tune it got "interrupted " and froze during the process , finished and froze as a safety issue.

my initial tune did freeze on me as a matter of fact...which I mentioned to both Lund and SCT....PMed you

anything specific I need to tell the dealer when I take it in????

Nice. Enjoy your new found speed above 80 mph. Took the wife out to dinner last night and hit 127 mph down in Mexico. Does not take long with an E tuned A10.

With the help of zerocool5.0, taking to a dealer tomorrow to see if the reflash pcm fixes the issue.

Yep stock file is back on with 91 pump gas. However I’m being told I’m still going to need an unlock file for the sct bdx unit after the pcm is reflashed??

Your unit should be unlocked since you have flashed back to stock. I dont think that you would need an unlock but the bdx may be different

Judy you are correct- spoke with sct this morning. I returned to stock prior. I can tune up to 5 vehicles but not at the same time. Unlock only required in the event pcm is flashed with tune on it.

I recommend Anthony at marina airport Ford if you ever need service in SoCal. He has gone above and beyond to fix this issue.

Although pcm reflash and Ford upload stock config file did not fix the issue, I’m currently waiting on the tech to look at a few other things.

Worse comes to worse we might be talking about a completely new PCM if we can’t get to the root of this......
