Too early to order

I went to my local dealer, Tasca, Seekonk , Ma. I thought I could get my order in. They are not taking any orders till "about mid September, the details of the packages are not yet fixed". Seems like many of you guys have got your orders in

The Dealer doesn't know what they're doing. Find different one or tell them that 1000's of people have already placed orders, from as far back as 5/20 when the order bank opened.

Ford won't be scheduling the next round of orders until 9/11 I believe. This may be what that dealer thinks. You can order any time you want as long as the dealership is competent. Find another dealer that has a clue.

Wow I almost went to Tasca to order my car back on 5/28 and I'm glad I didn't. I ended up at Rodman where I have been buying cars for almost 30 years.

Surprised about Tasca as they have their stuff together in the high performance world and everybody buys their OEM parts from tascaparts.com or from their eBay store.

^^^Right?? kind of surprised, they had a ton of '14's they wanted to sell me, I asked them about the LE and was shocked to find out they only had one LE allotment. Figured they would have been a little tighter with Mother Ford.

Or they are not interested in selling any Mustangs and rather sell all their Fusion and F150 inventory...but I wouldn't put ignorance out of equation. :tsk:

I thought Ford had over 2,500 dealers. With 1964 LEs to go around, not every dealer will get even one. I wouldn't be surprised that a dealer doesn't have more than one.

I figured it would be slim too, but my dealer got 2 so I'm hoping that means they are high up on the allocation list...we shall see.

3000 I think, but it's Tasca, huge in the region, credited with the development of the 390GT which became the 428CJ, Motorcraft currently sponsors Bob's Funny Car. They have the Shelby mod shop etc. They were stocked with GT's early this year, like a ton of them. A little history there, was all I was sayin'
