Can someone who has done the System update, Navi update, and 'one connected' bug fix look over these steps and see if my flow is correct? I don't want to pooch my unit.
This is just a rough schedule, not comprehensive steps by any means. Here's my plan:
Buy new MicroSD card (is it microSD, or just SD?)
Download 3 update files (FileCopy.exe, K2792-1.rar, lang.en.xml)
2 will be used to fix the 'one connected' bug (FileCopy.exe and lang.en.xml)
1 will be unpacked with WinRAR (K2792-1.rar)
Extract K2792-1.rar file to SD card.
Result will be folder (Chinese)
Go into folder on SD card, copy all files, paste to SD card root (outside of folder)
Take card out to car and follow steps in Ranger11x's video - SYSTEM UPDATED TO APR16

Bring card back inside and slick it
Copy FileCopy.exe and lang.en.xml files to SD card
Take car back out to car and follow setps in Ranger11x's video - ONE CONNECTED FIXED

Bring card back inside and slick it.
Dowload Navi update files that Brandonsmash linked to
Take card out to car and install according to steps he posted - NAVi UPDATED

LEAVE SD CARD IN UNIT
Keep TomTop's original SD card as a back-up?
Is this pretty good plan? Please provide correction/clarification where needed. Thanks!

I used a separate MicroSD (definitely a MicroSD!) card to do the K2792-1 update, though the "one Connected" fix doesn't need to be separate. Just make sure you follow directions closely. Don't get frustrated when using FileCopy.exe; it will disappear on you a few times, but just keep going through the steps. It will be obvious once you get there. It's just a weird piece of software and I'm making it sound worse than it is.

On the Navi update, all you have to do is copy the nav files to the MicroSD card that came in your TomTop unit. Everything fits with ample space, and then you just change the destination of the navigation executable. The plus with this is that if you don't like the update, you can just change the destination back to the original since you didn't have to remove anything.

Alternatively, you could just switch the MicroSD card to the new one and keep the TomTop original card as a backup.

It's really not all that bad. I've very little experience on systems such as these and I was able to perform the updates with no problems (and then wrote a tutorial on the navi update after I had some help).

Excellent update! Shoutout to X0AYHAM0X and Ranger11x for the step-by-step tutorial!

No more "one Connected". If anyone figures out how to remove the Chinese symbols under the play/pause, let me know! lol
Thanks man we do appreciate it glad it worked for ya

Do these work on the units from KKmoon that are being sold on amazon? I remember seeing that these were the TomTop units just a different name. Someone locally has one for sale for under 200 with all the stuff i was thinking about jumping on to tide me over till the car goes up for sale.

Thanks, ranger. I may PM you if get uneasy with anything.
Just completed the TomTop firmware and navi update. Mega major kudos to Ranger11x and brandonsmash. Their instructions were spot on, and everything went butter smooth.
Now that the firmware is fresh, I have a couple of 'features' that I can't remember the settings to correct.
1) In the previous version of firmware, I utilized the 'auto start' function for nav, so that it would start and when the TopTop turned on. Autostart works, but, once Nav launches, it stays on the Nav menu page. Before, once nav started and was online, the display would revert back to my radio page (the page I had up when I last shut down the car). How do I get it to go back to the back, without going to 'home', then selection 'radio'?
2) Also, with the radio playing in the background while I'm in Nav, every button I select causes the audio to mute. How do I turn that off.
I think both of these existed in the original firmware, but I can't remember how to correct them. Help if you can. Thanks!

Do other tomtop users have an issue where the navi voice sentences are cropped at the beginning? In other words, where navi voice should say 'turn right on maple street', it says something like '...urn right on maple street', or just 'right on maple street? The first part of sentences/commands isn't audible.
I updated from the stock iGo Primo nav to the Blaupunkt Nav, and nothing changed.
If you had this issue, how did you correct it? Thanks!

I have the same issue; I'm not aware of a fix as well.

Just picked up and successfully installed a tomtop unit. It came loaded with the April 2016 firmware.
I may perform the 'one connected' fix.

Does anyone know where the system looks for Video files? There is a video playback function, where would I need to load these in order to have them available? I assume it would be a folder on the micro sd?

Also, there are RCA inputs for Left Audio, Right Audio, and DTV (yellow). I ran these with extensions into the glovebox in case I wanted to use an external device. There is one additional RCA plug (yellow), but the writing was Chinese. Does anyone know what this was for? Is this for a forward facing camera?

From my understanding, the only yellow RCA cables necessary for function were the two (male and female) hookups used for the rearview camera. I'm not exactly sure what the extra cable/cables are for with the exception of external devices.

I could have sworn the yellow was for an extra camera/rear backup and you use the extra USB for the video playback.

Verified the USB is for video playback files. Works well.
