I have done 2 successful sync updates following Ford's instructions with USB stick in front location before I did the Tomtop unit install. So put USB stick with install files in the same location (also tried other USB location under armrest & also tried Tomtops USB input) went to sync on...

How do you update Sync though Tomtop? Hi all, Has anyone with this unit figured out yet how to update the sync? :shrug: Thanks, Geoff

Tried that, now sound goes off completly when navi instructions are supposed to be on.. So still no voices :shrug: Unless somebody has any other suggestions I guess I will un-plug then re-plug everything in at the back end... Though I think its weird because for a very short time I did have the...

Hi arizalitacastro, Just tried it with the navi turned off in the system settings but no joy, so disconnected my battery for 5 minutes, still no voices.. :doh: Are there any other settings in the app that I should look at changing ?? Thanks for the help, Geoff

I've had the no-voice issue since day one of my install, it worked for a day about week after the install, but then went back to just the volume dropping where instructions should be... Did the update but that didn't help. :frusty::shrug::headbonk:

Tried that & still haven't got my navi voices working trie other stuff suggested on this site so wondered if I should do the update from Drdomo's link. though would it b possible to get those instructions as I don't want to brick it?? Please & thx Geoff

Just installed my unit last weekend, had sync & no nav voice issues, fixed the sync problem but still no nav voice.......

I think there is now confusion as this thread was originally started for the Tomtop head unit owners only & their issue's... Its now way off topic, maybe time to start a new thread for the other units?? Just a suggestion :)

Well that's your opinion, & have of course you've got an alternative USA built unit for $300 ??
