Tom from MICKEY THOMPSON goes 9.93!

Hey guys,

Hellion customer Tom Kundrik, the Mickey Thompson Tires Motorsports manager, just went 9.93 with his bolt on Hellion kit for the 2015-2017 GT! Tom has a stock engine with circle D converter. He uses our standard 55mm quick spool units and drives this car daily! All work done by Livernois motorsports in MI.

Congrats Tom! Not bad for a 90 degree day!

Does a converter reduce 1/4 MPH. My car went a 10.4 at 136 but only went 107 in the 1/8th? My car is stock motor GT with a paxton, stock stall and 3.73 gears. I find it odd that the car went 111 in 1/8th but only 137 in 1/4.

Not typically. If the converter is not locking up it can, but if the tune has the converter locking up upstairs, it should be the same. The looser converter helps get the car off the line, then the converter locks downtrack if called for in the tune.
