Yup, as i posted in another thread , just couldn't justify and convince myself to spend $81K on a Mustang. That's how much the car would've cost me here.
Just put in a order for a loaded 16' GT PP for $45K instead. I'm jealous of all of you guys ordering your Shelby's.

Track pack is way more worth the money because at least you're getting MRC. Maybe it's because my mach 1 literally has zero amenities but I just don't see the point in gizmos and doo dads

Are you talking about the Magneride? tech pack has that too. Agree, the coolers are definitely a good idea.

I wouldn't worry about having the coolers on the car. It's not like it will blow up the second you drive onto the track if the coolers aren't there. It's just that the fluids won't last as long because they will get hotter. So you change your fluids after a day at the track. Not that big of a deal.

I took my regular (non PP) GT to the track and afterwards the dealer said just the engine oil needed changing. I suspect that the GT350 is built more for the track than my non PP GT, so I'm buying the tech pack and not worrying about it.

I daily my Boss and plan on dailying the Shelby too with the occasional road trip. I've tripped in the Boss and I do miss a decent radio and some of the bells and whistles. Yes, "because racecar" was cute at first but after a few years in there's some stuff I literally can't change.

Looking pragmatically - the conversion to drop a race bucket seat in would be easier than trying to swap in Sync 3 (as I understand, that is practically impossible). I could probably add much of the cooling later if I decide to push it more into track-only territory.

Realistically for a car that will be driven so rarely at its limit and for maybe a half day at that; I'll take the amenities. In an ideal world Ford would offer both packages, or I could afford an R/elec spec. But that's not in the cards.

By R seats do you mean Recaros? The "R" seats with the R logo are only on the 350R. The base and track pack have the "GT350" embroidery.

I ask because you mentioned Track pack, which isn't available with the R.

^Buy a red "R" and stitch it on yourself. It will make the car go faster down the block. And everyone will look on in awe when they notice the "R" logo hidden behind your head.

If you dont drive the car that much then forget the Tech Pack. Not worth it in my eyes. Track Pack then yes b/ i drive to and from the track and enjoy it!
I vote save that money and put it in the bank or buy a nice set of wheels. Forgelines, CCW....3 piece step lip wheels. Make your car different than others.

No shit. You said "I want R seats." You also said you want the Track pack because it comes with the R seats. So does that mean you want RECAROS or seats with a fucking R on them.
