I'm gonna go with the track pack...

1) I don't need Nav, I use my phone for that
2) I don't care for the leather seats
3) I've always wanted recaros
4) I probably won't track it as much as I want and I doubt I have the skills to push it to the limit, but I live in Texas and I think the coolers would be nice

The only thing I'm missing out on is satellite radio and I'll figure out a way to add that even if it's just a small add on aftermarket.

Thx for the responses guys, but i'm still as undecided now as i was before posting this thread.

I'll give myself a few more days to decide. Ford's not makin' it easy with these packages.

I put about 1k miles per year on my '08 bullitt (which I'm selling to help fund a GT350) but I plan to drive the GT350 much more if I can get my hands on one. I think the tech pack will help with resale value for most buyers, less the Nav which will probably be horribly outdated come resale time.

It just struck me that if you get the Tech Pack they're gonna put the wart your roof.

If go for tech cause I'm a big fan of the creature comforts and I don't really like the look of the base stereo system. Plus if you're thinking about it now and you DONT get it, you may regret it later on, same as some people that skipped the PP and then regretted it.

for a while there I was also thinking i would do the tech pack. I thought about it more and more and really what I would love is a 350R and the closest thing to that is the 350 with track pack. So the radio is not as nice but all the performance add ons are just more of what really draws me to this car. I just see me in those recaros and driving it down the track and well in that vision the radio isnt even relevant.

The one thing I have wanted on a car for a long time are HRE wheels...they make a Carbon fiber wheel. I think thats the only thing a track pack 350 would be missing for me, not really any of the tech bits.

Still undecided as to whether or not i should be getting the tech pack. That would bump up my bill by $9400 cdn.
This car will be my w-e toy and driven only when nice out and during summer months only ( 6 ).
I usually put on about 1-2K miles each summer as i'm pretty busy doing other things.
Can magnaride, nav, center gauges, power lumbar seats, 12 speakers, turn signal mirrors justify spending the xtra $9400 !
Any informative comments are welcome.
Just how important are those things to you? Other than the magnaride, how often will you actually use them? Think hard and be honest with yourself.

Do you think you'll track the car? If so, will the rest of this car's usage justify enough of the package?

I don't know how to estimate the value at resale time. Partly because I've never bought any car with its eventual disposal in mind - I buy them for me/us to enjoy, not for the next owner's benefit. And partly here because the sort of person who might be interested in a previously owned GT350 might be less interested in "bells and whistles" than the average shopper of late model pre-owned sporty cars in general.

That sums it up pretty well, i like your thinking and will probably go with my first idea which is to get a base Shelby.

I will at most track the car twice a year, and only 20 minutes at a time.

I'll mostly be a week-end toy and Camero hunter. I sure can do without the vav, power lumbar seats and magnaride.

I got the tech package. I will only track the car a couple times a year and I wanted the creature comforts. If I'm going to spend over $50K for a car it's going to have what I want for options. Also, I'm a big boy and the recaro seats dig into my flanks, so I liked the option of having a different seat. I guess I figured I can always add the different coolers, spoiler and strut tower brace later if I choose, but it's harder to add the other stuff.

I plan to get the Track pack mostly for the extra cooling and recaros.

However, I'm not a huge fan of the base stereo system layout. A bit too many buttons with a small screen that looks like they made it smaller than necessary due to extra bezels.

If I could, I'd get the upgraded interior bits with the track pack, but you can only do that on the "R" model.

So, for me, if I wasn't getting the track pack, I'd get the tech pack just for looks.

My last 2012 GT was a base model. My current 2015 is a loaded Premium EB. I will order a base GT350 with no options and no stripes. I like the nice radio, leather and all that...but it is not worth it to me. As long as the car has A/C, I am good to go. And, it will be my DD and get 15,000 miles a year.

Right on Mike, I think I'm going to get a base too. I'm a street and autocross guy. The coolers on the Track Pack will never get used to the full extent. When I need more suspension (WHEN, not if) I'll just get coilovers. Done. A nasty SS class machine for sure.

Have a couple questions now...

How easy do people think it'll be to add coolers after the fact?

If going track pack, do the recaros easily accept harnesses?

The oil and diff coolers won't be too bad, just parts and some labor. The Trans cooler though would need a Trans out of a Track Pack car plus the lines and cooler.

And the Recaros look like they will take a harness quite nicely.

Does the casing just need the ports or mounting provisions?

Engine oil Coolers are not too hard to add, although i read some of the coolers are in the form of extra aero tidbits that direct air to right places (mainly the rear diff cooler). The recaros look the same as the boss ones, so you should be able to add 4 point units if you get a roll bar.

The only question is if the magneride has special tuning closer to the R.

Seems like a lot of extra work to put a whole different Trans in a car with the track pack...if it's that big of a pain ill just stick with track like I originally was going to :-D thanks for the response!
