Ideally, drag radials. At the minimum you want something like Continental ExtremeContact Sports

I like the Yokohama A052 for linear grip.

Depends on if you need something which is going to last or if you just want some grip and don't mind a shorter life. Also do you need to drive in wet condition or not.

Yokes are good for dry or wet, but probably not standing water. They're also good down to sub freezing, which is rare for a grippy 200tw tire. I'd say they will stick as good as a drag radial and will be better all round, but don't expect 30k miles out of them.

The manufacturers data says down to 20 degrees. I’ve driven them below 32 yes. If you’re daily driving in winter I wouldnt prefer to be on any summer tire, but it wont damage them

How am I being a dick? OP wants recommendations for tires for a supercharged Mustang and just want to know if you are running one.

I run Conti Sport 02s 305/35/19 rear on the street and 305/45/17 MT at the strip. Great combo for our 2020 GT with Whipple Stage 2.

My car is a ‘21 GT with a stage 1 Whipple. It has nitto 555 g2, 305/19s. At about any speed the tires will break loose if I floor it.

The general consensus is the 555 G2 is a shit tire. And that is being nice. Get rid of them asap, especially before you drive in the rain with them. I had them on my 2019 GTI for about a month before they went back to discount tire. I could break traction with it, even on stock power, in that car. In the rain, it felt like driving on ice.

When you supercharge your car, you will pay for tires. A good "budget" tire is the Conti ECS02. Great tire. Going up price points gets you the MPS4S or even a good 200TW like what @NightmareMoon suggested.

FWIW, 555s have been considered terrible tires since Abe Lincoln was a boy.

They're not MPS tires as are spec'd on PP cars, and should be used on modded cars. They're UHPS. So a step lower in performance. Logic says you should simply get Max Performance Summer tires, and you'll see a bit more grip.

Conti Extreme Contact Sport 02s are great, as are the Michelin Pilot Sport 4Ss.

The R2s are supposedly good though.
