Thanks. I’ll give it a little time.
1. Heel toe downshifting
2. No diff cooler
3. I haven’t checked the diff yet but I did order thicker 75W-140 diff oil to install (awaiting arrival).
2016 GT Perf Pack. I just drove it for the first time after an HPDE day two weeks ago, and the clutch feels a little funny.
It still seems to function properly but the motion is no longer butter smooth. I can feel it catching a bit near the top of the travel when a gear is engaging. There’s a...
Thanks. Thus far I have driven with the car in track mode, which reduces (but does not completely eliminate) stability control nannies. I believe there is a button trick to disable it completely but I have no plans to do so.
I have not noticed accelerated wear on my rear pads, though I don't...
I’ve decided to go with R10/R8 as my next pads.
How important are the titanium shims at this point in my journey? If I don’t get them now, should I reuse the factory steel shims or install the pads bare?
2016 GT with 13K miles. MBRP cat back.
The insides of my tailpipes had a brown/rusty residue after a track day. See picture below. It wipes off easily with a wet towel.
Is it a non-issue or something to be concerned about?
Even if 80% of the street car’s drive time is spent driving to and on the track?
How are the R12/R10 unhappy on the street? Just noisy or are there other detrimental effects?
2016 GT performance pack used for HPDE and occasional street driving (500-1000 miles per year).
Intermediate skill level. 200TW tires. Brembo DOT4 fluid. Stock pads lose a little bite near the end of my sessions.
1. At what thickness do you replace the pads?
2. Would G-Loc R10, R12, or R16...
Yeah I liked the track a lot and will be back. Maybe at the Sept BFR day.
Is this the one you have? It looks like a clever way to harness in without major modifications...
I finally got back onto the track yesterday after moving my Steeda pedal a little farther from the brake pedal.
By the end of the day my heel-toe downshifts were getting pretty darn smooth. Thanks again for all the advice in this thread.
Thank you. I wouldn't say I'm having trouble with the process or timing. The reason I started this thread is regarding the foot/pedal placement challenge in this particular car. But I am soaking in a lot of the advice from these posts, which I really appreciate.

Thanks. I tried washers before the pedal first and didn't like the feel. The gas pedal was in the way when trying to brake normally, but I suppose maybe I'd get used to the change.
Good call on trying different left/right placement of the Steeda pedal. I will give that a shot.
I'm using casual...
