Based on everything I'm hearing, 19x10 @ 275s is the way to go for a great DD setup without breaking the bank. Nittos are getting rave reviews everywhere. This will probably be my route in the spring.
If you're looking for a square set up, that's definitely the way to do it. I decided to run Nitto NT05s over the MPSS and they're absolutely awesome. I like them better than the Bridgestone Potenza RE760s I was running on a previous set up.

I agree with what everyone with saying and up your budget a tad if you are looking for a decent set up. 2k will get you either decent wheels and crappy tires or crappy wheels and decent tires.

What combo would you recommend then, NFS?

What tires do you consider BA?

ill sent you a pm right now with 2 options, one that fits your price point and another I recommend for ultimate weight savings and sticky rubber.

Can you share the options (pm me with the price) for 19x10 and 19x9.5 square wheels that will fit GTPP? Plan is to run 275 40's like OEM or 285 35's.

Ideally, wheel name, size, weight. I'm currently eyeing the Advanti Hybris (19x9.5) as they are 21 pounds (member weighed), good looking and reasonably priced (to me ideally under 450 a wheel, the lesser the better!). Other options are TSW Bathurst. Curious as to what else will work! Thanks!!

For you and OP I'll say that 275/40-19 PSS on the 19 x 10's of your choice would be a really tough combination to top overall. 285/35's - I'd rather see those on 10.5" wide wheels.

The PSS is easily a good enough wet weather tire to be used in pouring wet downpours at track days, so it'll be more than adequate in any rainy street duty. 285/35's on 18x11's all around ↓↓↓ . Camera shake toward the end indicates >110 mph and still rock-solid. Wet cornering at 60 mph or so at either end of the main straight and above 40 in the turn after the bridge should suggest that they're capable enough for most folks' driving most anywhere.
