Looking for recommendations on different tires,I’m a street/daily driver.Firestone screwed up my alignment,I’m way out of spec i have excessive wear from them not adjusting rear toe.I’m running staggered Nitto 555 G2’s 275/35/20 & 305/30/20.Overall I been happy with them, but not in the rain.Thanks.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S and Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 would be your best bets assuming you want to stick with a summer tire. The Continental tires are considered just as good as the Michelins but for a good bit less $$.

How do you like the Velgen VF5 wheels?

Love the VF5’s no regrets.

@Billy2015GT These are all good choices. A great many of us have an affinity for the Michelins because they’re a sure thing. But the Conti’s are also good.

Just picked up some Continental DWS 06 PLUS and I love them because they are extremely quiet at highway speeds. Got them at Discount Tire.

Thank you for the shout out and your patronage. Much appreciated. I'm looking forward to feedback on your tire choice over time!

My GT convertible is a daily driver. Mostly cruising with a few "jack rabbit starts". No racing. No track. Stock 18" wheels.

My OEM all-season Pirellis made it almost 30K. They were loud and not very good in the wet. I replaced them with Goodyear Eagle Sports. Much better in the wet and very quiet. Plenty of traction for what I do.

I have the exact same setup. Velgen VF5 with the NItto 555G2 in the same size. I agree, they are downright dangerous in the rain, not too terrible if the weather is really warm and its dry. That said, I opted for the Michelin Pilot All Season 4 on my stock PP wheels and they are phenomenal. Grippy in dry and wet. Also excellent in cold weather. I drove them on Christmas Eve in single digit temps and they hooked up way better than the Nitto's in rain in warm weather for sure. I would say if you want summer tires, I echo the Continental Extreme contact 02 or Michelin Pilot 4s.
