Recently took a screw in one of my original 5 year old, 4800 mile PSS front tires, screw is in the shoulder so not repairable. I hate to replace all 4 tires because of this but that looks like the road I'm going down.
Decided to stick with PSS, considering these options using original non-R wheels: go 305/35/19 square, or 295/35/19 in front. The issue with going 295 front is the only ones I could find have a 104Y load index, the OE 100Y rating tires are apparently still on back order.
I like the idea of going square and found a set of 4, 305/35/19's for a good price at Discount Tire. So my question is: Are there any negatives either way about going square vs. the 295 104Y in front? Don't know how the higher 295-104Y load index will affect handling compared to the OE 100Y.
Thanks!
