I remember getting some from Sears. 14 dollars a tire I think. I could spin them for days.
Yeah I remember being able to get tires for pretty cheap. $14/tire is probably before my time but $50-$100 per tire was not uncommon for me. My neighbor growing up was a mechanic with his own shop so he always charged us his cost for the actual tires and then just his labor to mount and balance. Definitely went through tires more often back then than I do now LOL

Sounds like he wants to use the line lok, peel out, and drift around corners.

It's called reading comprehension.
Neato, because where I come from "peal out" doesn't mean "spin kitties" or "tire smoke for distance". Slipping the tires everywhere is just a function of the shitty tire he's using.

Sounds like you assume he does what you do. Compression?

Well if that is the case Hoosier R7's will fill the bill.

The requirements are strange.
Either I want to drive spirited, then I want good grip in all situations.
Or I want to make a lot of smoke about nothing and lousy traction, as described by the OP.

I guess the best thing would be a set of rear wheels for smoking and a set of rear wheels for going seriously fast.

The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, with which the EU models (= PP) are delivered, would be my recommendation for going seriously fast.
You have to warm them up a little bit for maximum grip, then you can give the pony the spurs.
My Bullitt with Magneride sticks with it even at high speed on the Autobahn in the mountains well on the road.
But to smoke 'em up these tires are just too pity.

The Pirelli P Zero Neros have a rather bad reputation over here, especially because of their rather poor grip in some driving situations.
However, the requirements are probably different, because you can drive maximum speed here without penalty.

I think you want two things that don’t typically go together. Typically the higher performance tires wear much faster. If you’re doing burnouts and want tire life you’re going to have to sacrifice grip.
Honestly grip is least of my worry bought car this past October 3 2022 and already burned p zero neros car is to much fun 😆

Back to my original recommendation. Find a HARD tire. Something with 65,000 or better yet 80,000 mile tread warranty. You can roast them to your hearts content.

Given your "needs" from your tire, just go to tire rack, punch in the size you want and then sort for the highest treadwear rating and then buy the cheapest tire available. They won't grip for shit in the dry or the wet, but if you want to drive around trying to burn the tires down, they'll last the longest.

Maybe something like these gripless pieces of shit. With a treadwear rating of 740 they should slip and slide all over for years. Enjoy.
