Hi everyone! I was starting to get annoyed with the throttle lag in my 2019 Mustang GT, so I purchased a Speedform Throttle Controller a few months ago (https://www.americanmuscle.com/sec10-mustang-throttle-controller-407057.html). It worked great, however it has thrown the powertrain code twice now. First time, I disconnected and reconnected, and the problem was fixed. Within 2 hours of driving though, the powertrain code came back on. I did a bit of research and it looks like I need to zip tie the cords and control box up somewhere so it's not pulling. I'm struggling to find a place to zip tie it though. Does anyone have any suggestions?

There's lots of codes - what's the actual code that is popping on you?

This is a screenshot of the code I received both times. Car would immediately go into limp mode.

The actual numeric DTC code is what is needed - that Ford Pass generic result won't help.

Try getting the DTC using either of these methods based on which dash cluster is in the vehicle. You don't need a code scanner to grab codes you can do it via the Engineer Test Mode:

If you have a 2015-2020 with the ANALOG gauge cluster, you should be able to enter the “Engineer Test Mode”.

If you you have a 2018-2020 with the DIGITAL cluster, you should be able to access the same test mode found here:

Drove the car around for a bit with the throttle controller and got the code to light up right away. Despite going into Engineer Test Mode, there was no code associated with it? I scrolled through the various menus and the only one with DTC didn't display a code. Not sure if I did this wrong.

Just about any auto parts store will connect a code scanner for free.
Also, a code readers are pretty inexpensive nowadays. Easily under $50 for a Bluetooth one and the apps are free. Even entry level bi-directional tools are under $500 now. If you're looking to do much of anything to your car a code reader is almost a must have.

Get rid of that Throttle controller. It's not worth it,had one thoes before on a 5gen camaro, was always doing the same thing .Stopped using it,problem went away.
