Next week.
Can't lower the car because i only have about an inch of clearance to the rocker panels in my drive way :(

Time to buy a new house.

Hi guys does anybody know what are the widest tires that can be safely put on to the 18x8 foundry wheels (051A package)? Does anyone have pics of that setup lowered or not?

Thanks, man.
It is stock. I'd like to put 255s onto my rims when I wear out my tires though.
I have the same rims and like them, too. But they are only 8" wide, and 255s are too much. They'll be very mushy. Even 245s are better on 9" rims. That was the big compromise for me. I didn't want the larger diameter wheels, but I would have loved a 9" rim.

I love our rim's design. FATHERFORD posted some of his factory rims being widened to 12''. Our foundry ones would be sweet widened several inches, but they'd be near 30 lbs :frusty:

So would 18x10.5 +35 with a 275 or 285 tire work then? Is there enough clearance with the struts to go inward some?

As soon as i receive my car (a little while yet), I'm going to see if I can get away with 18 x 12 rims with some 345/35s out back (probably with some small mod using relocation brackets on the rear shocks as recommended by Fartherford).

Newb questions:
I'm thinking of getting wheel spacers for a more aggressive look, i have the 18x8 foundry wheels with 235's. Would 5/16 wheel spacers do the job? (I'll probably need wider wheels/ tires 5/16 is just over 1/4 inch)
Does anybody have pics of such a setup?

I am really happy with my 18 inch square setup. Thank god Ford thought ahead and didn't put a fender lip in the rear! I have a base GT with the 3.55 rear axle. With the new wheels, it performed great at the track a couple weeks ago!
